It's so easy for us to forget whats really important in life, we find ourselves caught up in buying the nicest clothes (for the children that is...) obsessing over strangers on Instagram and trying to be the perfect parent. We forget that children don't care where their clothes are from, the bigger the picture of either a superhero or a princess on the front the better, they don't have a clue that people try and get strangers to like their posts on Instagram and they always think we're the best parents!

With moving and everything else getting on top of me I've been struggling to be the parent I want to be to my children, I'm short tempered, tired and not as enthusiastic as I normally am.

We went to Blenheim Palace yesterday to celebrate Fathers Day and it was so needed. We've made so many wonderful memories there, it's one of my favourite places to be and with the weather as glorious as it was it was the perfect place to pack up a picnic and explore. We spent really quality time together laughing, playing and actually talking to each other. It's made me feel so much better and once the move is out of the way we're going to be doing so many more family days out.

Here's some pictures from our lovely day.

  1. Your little ones are absolutely perfect! It's so true that sometimes we as parents really do need to take a minute to step back and realize that not everything has to be perfect all the time.
